September 6, a bust of the world-famous French physicist and astronomer Jean Bernard Leon Foucault (1819 - 1868) was inaugurated in Scientific and Technical Library NTUU "KPI" of G.I.Denisenko.

On the 2nd of September in NTUU “KPI” an unusual event took place.

May 26, 2011 at the Department of Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Institute was opened Educational and Training Centre "KPI" - HAAS.

An unforgettable encounter with the living legend of the Soviet space program was held at the NTUU"KPI" on May 13. The cosmonaut Georgy Grechko visited Kiev Polytechnic Institute. He participated in the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite, three times  flew into space.

The second president of Ukraine Leonid Danilovich Kuchma was awarded at ceremonial meeting of administrative council of NTUU "KPI" on November 25 on the occasion of assignment to it ranks "The honourable doctor of NTUU "KPI", the cloak and a breastplate is handed.

September 29, 2010, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in Ukraine Felix Leon Carballo visited our university. Ambassador met with the Rector of NTUU"KPI" Michael Zgurovsky.

General Director of WIPO  Francis Gurry - Doctor of KPI. General Director of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Dr. Francis Gurry June 29 - July 1, 2010 visited Ukraine.

Celebrations to mark the 45th anniversary of the exit of the first man in the open space, and the 35th anniversary of the joint flight program "Soyuz-Apollo" took place in NTUU "KPI" on March 30. Among the guests there were  A.A.

Awarding Ceremony "KPI" and its Rector Academician M. Zgurovsky highest honorary award Socialist Republic of Vietnam for foreign citizens and organizations - the Order of Friendship on 24 September in the Hall of the Academic Council of "KPI".

October 28, 1944 the liberation of Ukraine from Nazi invaders was ended. It happened in the Carpathians, where the last Wehrmacht unit left our land under the onslaught of the troops of the 4th Ukrainian Front. The battle for the liberation of Ukraine lasted from December 1942.
