☑️ Twenty-year-old Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute student Yurii Yurchuk, together with his team, is developing the SOLER unmanned aerial vehicle to help Ukrainian demining specialists survey potentially mined areas.

📜 The idea grew out of hackathons and the Sikorsky Challenge startup competition. The drone simultaneously scans the terrain using three sensors—a camera, a thermal imaging camera, and a magnetometer—while dedicated software analyzes the collected data and identifies locations where landmines may be hidden.

⚙️ Yurii is studying Avionics at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. As part of the program, students design electronic systems and develop software for autonomous aerial vehicles. He is working on the project together with friends and fellow students, and the team's goal is to create not just a drone, but a comprehensive system capable of independently analyzing the collected data.
