📃 Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute presented five startups at INSCIENCE Conference — the largest deep tech popular science conference in Ukraine — in the fields of medtech, digital modeling, and rehabilitation. These are projects where university research is transformed into solutions that work for people.
☑️ Among the presented developments:
🔹 FEM2Dentistry — a project of the Educational and Scientific Mechanical Engineering Institute (MMI), which uses digital modeling and engineering analysis to improve the accuracy of dental implant planning. The solution makes it possible to predict the distribution of mechanical loads on the jawbone and evaluate the effectiveness of implantation before treatment begins.
🔹 AURA (Adaptive and Universal Rehabilitation Accessory) — a modular rehabilitation system for people with upper-limb amputations, developed on the basis of the Sikorsky Challenge Science Park of Additive Technologies. The solution helps maintain independence in everyday life while waiting for prosthetic fitting.
🔺 Another important achievement is the victory of the AURA project in a grant competition. The team received a €3,000 grant from Expertise France / EU4Innovation East for further development of the technology.
