👥 Students, academic staff, university administration representatives, student self-government representatives, and members of the Student Trade Union Committee of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute took part in an open dialogue with Mykola Valeriiovych Trofymenko, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, focusing on the challenges and prospects of modern higher education.
📃 The discussion addressed the role of universities in developing civil society and educating responsible professionals capable of creating innovative solutions for the country.
📌 Particular attention was paid to:
🔹 supporting the student community in the face of today's challenges;
🔹 the importance of student research and innovation activities for the country's development;
🔹 energy resilience and the role of universities in training specialists who will contribute to strengthening it;
🔹 growing interest among young people in engineering and STEM fields, where Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has traditionally been among the leading institutions;
🔹 the skills modern students need to remain competitive and successful in the labour market.
📈 The participants also highlighted the strong results of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the 2026 admissions campaign, reflecting the university's position among Ukraine's leading higher education institutions and the growing interest of prospective students in engineering and technology fields.
✔️ The visit continued with a tour of the university's educational and research infrastructure. Mykola Trofymenko visited the Ajax NEXT Laboratory, the Energy Hub, and the Additive Manufacturing Science Park.
