These persistent and persevering girls from Faculty of Chemical Engineering were awarded with rector scholarships for the second time.

At our university scientific research is conducted on a wide range of themes and in different fields. Some of them are implemented and are economically effective and others have the potential of implementation.

On June 27 an Educational Scientific Center "Clean Water" was inaugurated in the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". It is established by the NTUU "KPI" and the research-and-production enterprise "Nature Technologies".

In the 2012 the professor of the chemical, polymeric and silicate machine building department Anton Yanovich Karvatskiy became the winner of the University contest “Teacher-researcher”.

June 15, 2011 we celebrated 90 years of talented scientist and teacher, doctor of technical sciences, professor, head of the department in the past, and now a leading researcher of the department of chemical, polymer and silica engineering Igor Mykhailovych Fedotkin.

Each year, the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine conducts Contest "Invention of the Year." On March,31 the results of the contest "Invention of the Year - 2010" were summed up.

In 2009 Mikulonok Igor Olegovych won the honorary title of "teacher-researcher" for the third time. He works at the Department of machinery and apparatus of chemical and petroleum production of engineering and chemical faculty for over 20 years.

His life was fruitful, interesting and at the same time extremely stressful. He was born in Dnipridzerzhinsk in a large working class family. Childhood and adolescence occurred in the turbulent war and postwar years.
