The Department of Biosafety and Human Health of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is actively expanding international cooperation in the fields of rehabilitation, occupational therapy, and advanced biomedical engineering technologies. Such partnerships have become particularly important in the context of developing Ukraine's rehabilitation system and introducing modern international practices, especially in the field of occupational therapy.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, in cooperation with the KOLO Charity Foundation and the Swedish non-profit organization Beredskapslyftet, are launching the international grant project "Occupational Therapy Without Borders: Swedish-Ukrainian Professional Exchange for the Sustainable Development of Rehabilitation in Ukraine."

Igor Sikorsky KPI was visited by a delegation from the Swedish Institute, an organization that promotes Sweden's cultural and scientific diplomacy and supports international educational programs.

In June 2025, a delegation from Igor Sikorsky KPI, consisting of professors from the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Probability Theory, O.I. Klesov, I.V. Alekseeva, O.I. Vasilik, and V.V. Bovsunovskaya, visited Mälardalen University (Västerås, Sweden). The visit took place within the framework of the EU's Erasmus+ program (KA1).

The representative of Igor Sikorsky KPI took part in the 12th European conference on non-destructive testing (ECNDT 2018), which was organized in Goteborg (Sweden) on 11th-15th of June.

On February 21 Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute signed a Protocol on Nuclear Security Cooperation with the Swedish Radiation Safety Organization.

A world leading power supply manufacturer KraftPowercon is a global company with production facilities in Sweden . This company was made a donation of the department of the technology electrochemical production ( TEHV) HTF the rectifiers Flex Kraft.

On January, 23 the manager of International Programs of the Swedish Institute Marcus Bomani visited NTUU "KPI". The guest examined the historic part of the University campus, examined the exposure of State Polytechnic Museum of Ukraine at NTUU "KPI" and met with university authorities.
