🇫🇷👩🎓 Yuliia Zloba and Yana Pliatsuk, PhD students at the Faculty of Automation, Industrial Engineering and Ecology of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, have successfully completed the second stage of the SURE (Sustainable Resources Engineering) 2026 International Summer Engineering Program, held in Lyon, France.
☑️ The program brought together young researchers from different countries to address one of today's most pressing challenges—sustainable water resource management and the development of resilient cities.
During the program, the participants:
🔹 explored the impacts of climate change and urbanization on water resources and freshwater scarcity;
🔹 studied modern European approaches to stormwater management and the development of green-blue infrastructure;
🔹 learned about advanced technologies for water treatment and water reuse;
🔹 worked in international teams on real-world engineering case studies.
♻️ At the conclusion of the program, the students presented their own technical and environmental solutions aimed at improving the water resilience of urban areas.
