Our university is working on an important project to introduce CAD/CAM technologies in orthopedics and rehabilitation engineering to help children affected by the military conflict.

The scientific student group “Experimental Research of New Materials and Biomechanical Systems”, which operates at the Department of Dynamics and Strength of Machines and Resistance of Materials of the Educational and Research Mechanical Engineering Institute, is an example of the important work of young scientists and students in creating prostheses for wounded soldiers and anyone who needs surgery to restore mobility.

Kyiv Polytechnic together with the network of medical centers "I am your doctor" will create a modern medical clinic at the university.

For the first time, the international InnovAid Hackathon dedicated to artificial intelligence in medicine was held at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science that develops systems for performing tasks that usually require human intelligence: medical diagnostics, e-commerce, remote control of robots, and remote sensing of the Earth.

KPImedia together with the Ukrainian media #ShoTam created a video about a unique development, thanks to which thousands of wounded defenders will be able to walk and even run again!

"To take the best, remove the worst and make a perfect Ukrainian product!" - say future engineers from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of KPI.

And this is not the only unique development of the students.

National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, together with the Shalimov National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology, will engage in bioprinting of organs and tissues, rehabilitation of the wounded, development and maintenance of operating theater furniture.

At Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, they learned how to apply a tourniquet properly, stop bleeding, and handle weapons skillfully.

The training was conducted for students and employees of the Security Department of the university.
