A new reality is being born right before our eyes. AI can help people in a variety of ways, but, as some scientists warn, it can also be harmful in other ways. Nevertheless, its triumphant march across the world continues. It is really useful, and soon we may not be able to imagine our lives without this tireless assistant. Recently, AI started working in the Scientific and Technical Library of KPI. Library director Yevheniia Kulyk told KP about what it will do there and what it is already doing. By the way, in Ukraine, Hryhorii Denysenko STL became the first library to implement this technology in its activities.
Vice Rector for International Relations, Andrii Shysholin, represented Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) at the IREG 2024 international conference, titled “Artificial Intelligence (AI) altering Higher Education and Rankings.” The event took place on November 7–8 at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest, Romania.

The scope of its application is constantly growing: AI is already serving people in agriculture and industry, medicine and transport, marketing and sociology, etc. And this range is expanding almost every month. For our country, its potential for use in the defence sector is particularly important today.
