Rehabilitation

About 15 military personnel and veterans, some of whom are students and graduates of KPI, took part in the rehabilitation program.

One of the most important events that took place at Igor Sikorsky KPI at the end of last month was the International Forum “Innovations in Medical Engineering.” It was held over two days, May 20 and 21, and brought together representatives of government agencies, Ukrainian and international participants in the Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine Innovation Ecosystem, international medical engineering specialists and experts, and representatives of foundations and companies. And, of course, scientists and developers of startup projects, because the forum participants not only discussed problems and identified pain points in the rapid implementation of innovative developments in medical engineering into production and further to patients, but also identified and highlighted the most promising startup projects on this topic at the competition. 

The visit of the delegation of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to 🇫🇷 France ended at the Institution Nationale des Invalides (National Institute for the Disabled) in Paris.

Our university is working on an important project to introduce CAD/CAM technologies in orthopedics and rehabilitation engineering to help children affected by the military conflict.

We are incredibly glad that our university has even more people who are not indifferent to help in the rehabilitation, restoration and prosthetics of our veterans and victims of military aggression!

Modern technologies are steadily entering our lives. Medicine is an integral part of this process. This industry, with its thousands of years of history, is now arming itself with new medical devices. Know-how in medicine literally saves people from death and brings them back to full life, especially now, in times of a terrible bloody war.

Our university continues to work on the restoration of our defenders together with the Charitable Foundation “Center for Complex Endoprosthetics, Osteointegration and Bionics” and the Public Union “Center for Interdisciplinary Basic and Applied Human Research”.

Representatives of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute took part in the presentation of innovative knee units by Parashar Industries, the only official manufacturer of modern components for lower limb prostheses in Ukraine.

Today, on December 3, the world celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities to remind society of the importance of equality, barrier-free access, tolerance and humanity.

Social protection, veteran policy and development of inclusiveness at the university. Kyiv Polytechnic plans to implement crucial social projects together with the Ukraine Task Force (UTF) of the Florida State University (FSU).
