Stanislav Otroshok was born in the village of Andriyashivka, Romny district, Sumy region, in the family of a soldier. As a child, he lived in Konotop and studied at Konotop Secondary School No. 1.

In 1994, he entered the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic University. Since then, he has spent his life in Kyiv, but he has never forgotten Andriyashivka, where he spent the best years of his life. He graduated from the Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” with a degree in Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics.

Since 2014, Stanislav has been an active participant in the struggle for the territorial integrity and independence of our country and has been actively involved in volunteer activities. After the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in February 2022, he voluntarily joined the territorial defense of the Pirniv territorial community and defended the Kyiv region.

In September 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and entered the engineering and demining program. After graduation, he joined the 95th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. While performing a combat mission in March 2023, he was injured and concussed. After treatment, he refused to be discharged and returned to his comrades-in-arms and continued his service, working on the production of munitions and ammunition in close cooperation with various units of the Ukrainian defense forces. Later, he served with the Separate Engineering Battalion of the 48th Kamianets-Podilskyi Engineering Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During his service, Stanislav made every effort to establish the production of munitions: he constantly introduced innovations, searched for materials, and organized processes to optimize the battalion's work. He has always united a large number of volunteers and soldiers around him.

In October 2024, he was transferred to the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Galician Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he served as a sapper operator of the 2nd division of the engineering barrier platoon of the engineering company of the engineering support group. On December 1, 2024, while performing a combat mission, he was killed in the Kursk direction, defending his native Sumy region. And even after his death, the munitions he made destroyed enemies and saved the lives of his comrades.

Stanislav had extraordinary willpower, tireless diligence, strong willed character, great patriotism and a thirst for fighting for his native land. He was a good and loyal friend, always expressing great gratitude to his fellow villagers and friends who provided the necessary assistance to fight the enemy.

For many years, Stanislav was a blood donor at the Okhmatdyt National Children's Hospital and, since 2014, at a military hospital. He helped to save the lives of many children with cancer who were treated in the Onco-Hematology Department of the Ohmatdyt Hospital and our wounded soldiers. He received the Honorary Donor of Ukraine award.

One of Stas' dreams was to build his own house where all his friends and family could gather. He went on to realize his dream: he built a house, planted a garden in the village of Vyscha Dubechnia, Kyiv region, and became an active member of the village community.

The soldier is survived by his son Hlib and daughter Sofia. Eternal memory and glory to the Hero!
