Today, as Ukraine continues to navigate a period of profound economic, social, and demographic transformation, professional dialogue, academic cooperation, and the exchange of practical experience among representatives of academia, business, and the educational community have become increasingly important.

One of the most pressing issues facing Ukraine's defense industry was the focus of the forum "Transforming Management in the Defense Industry," held at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in late May. The urgency of the discussion was dictated by the realities of war itself: modern warfare has become highly technology-driven, and according to some estimates, technologies on the battlefield are now evolving almost every three months.

Our university has signed a memorandum of cooperation with FSU Defense, the All-Ukrainian Association of Employers in the Aviation, Space, Rocket, Shipbuilding, and Other Science-Intensive Industries of the Defense Industry. The FRU Defense includes more than 300 state and private enterprises.

KPI has officially joined the All-Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Quest organized by the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine.

On June 18, the university held an award ceremony for the Golden Honorary Badges of the National Technical Organization – the Federation of Scientific and Technical Societies of Poland. This year, they were awarded to Professor Lyudmila Mykhailivna Shulgina of the Department of Industrial Marketing, FMM; Professor Serhii Vasylovych Voitko, Head of the Department of International Economics, FMM; Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management Professor Oksana Oleksiivna Vovk, and former Director of the G.I. Denisenko Scientific and Technical Library Oksana Mykolaivna Bruy. In a solemn atmosphere, the awards were presented to Kyiv Polytechnic Institute students by Dorota Jaworska, Deputy Head of the KPI Alumni Section in Poland. Despite the massive rocket attack on Ukraine on the night of April 24, 2025, the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Business, Innovation, Management: Problems and Prospects” was held on the same day at the Faculty of Management and Marketing. It was organized by the Department of Enterprise Management. The conference brought together over 220 participants—scientists, practitioners, and higher education students from various cities in Ukraine, Poland, and Finland.

The First National Forum of Talented Youth, held in the capital in late January, brought together more than 400 participants - winners of international and national school competitions, young scientists, students, and activists. As part of the event, young scientists were awarded Presidential Prizes for their scientific achievements. Olha Vovk, a professor at the Department of Economic Cybernetics at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, also received the award. She shared her impressions of this solemn event.
