On the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, December 6, 2024, the Borys Paton State Polytechnic Museum of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted the grand opening of a unique exhibition of Ukrainian documentary photographer and military man Vitalii Sokur.
His photographs are impressive stories “without words” about the war from the inside, destroyed cities, shelled houses, broken windows, destroyed cars, about losses and about people whose lives have changed radically because of the aggressor's invasion.
Today, Vitaliy Sokur's photographs help fight Russian propaganda, document Russian crimes against the Ukrainian people and demonstrate them to the world community. His reports from the frontline and near-frontline territories win many international competitions, such as the IX International Life Press Photo Contest.
