🕯 Our university community is once again in mourning. News has emerged of the death of a KPI graduate who was defending Ukraine. 🇺🇦 Pavlo Muntian (February 15, 1982 — August 10, 2022).
A 2004 graduate of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization at NTUU “KPI.” He graduated with honors with a degree in “Protection of Restricted Information and Automation of Its Processing.” He earned the qualifications of a radio electronics engineer and a tactical-level military command officer.
🫡 From the very first days of the full-scale war, Pavlo, as a reserve officer, joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. By the end of February 2022, he was appointed deputy company commander for weapons of the 3rd Infantry Company of the 99th Battalion, 61st Brigade. He saw combat in southern Ukraine, where he carried out missions in the active combat zone alongside his comrades.
On August 10, 2022, Pavlo was killed in the Kherson region during a rescue operation after an evacuation vehicle was hit. At the cost of his own life, he helped save his wounded comrades.
