Experts from Igor Sikorsky KPI became speakers and participants in the event “Digitization of Industrial SMEs — Hack & Match,” which took place at Kyiv Polytechnic University.

The winners of the innovative projects competition held as part of the Sikorsky Challenge 2025 festival, which recently took place at KPI, have been announced. They will receive funding to implement their ideas. This is the fourth festival held during the war, so its priorities included a defense forum and projects aimed at protecting the civilian population and critical infrastructure. The authors describe one of the developments that addresses an urgent need: the construction of shelters.

One of the university departments that actively cooperates with Kyivstar within the framework of its cooperation agreements with Igor Sikorsky KPI is the Educational and Scientific Institute of Telecommunication Systems. Recently, the company's leading experts gave a lecture to its students, covering a range of issues that are particularly useful for future engineers in the field.

Modern warfare is not only a confrontation between manpower and technology, but also a battle between robotic technologies. Today, unmanned systems perform a wide range of tasks: from reconnaissance and combat operations to rescuing the wounded and delivering provisions and ammunition. And we are not only talking about UAVs, but also ground-based robotic systems (GRS), which were created with the help of the hands, minds, and knowledge of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute students.

The XIV International Festival of Innovative Projects “Sikorsky Challenge 2025”, which took place at Igor Sikorsky KPI from October 28 to November 2 this year, was dedicated to the issues and ways of post-war revival, reconstruction, and further development of Ukraine. 

For the fifth time, Igor Sikorsky KPI has become a space for professional dialogue between education, medical science, and practice with the participation of experts from Ukraine, Europe, the US, and Australia, who presented their achievements and shared their experiences.

Sergii Stirenko, Vice Rector for Scientific Work at Kyiv Polytechnic University, took part in the presentation of Ukraine's first virtual academy of environmental education in a new format, created by the Professional Association of Environmental Workers (PAEW) in partnership with NAEK Energoatom

In June 2025, a delegation from Igor Sikorsky KPI, consisting of professors from the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Probability Theory, O.I. Klesov, I.V. Alekseeva, O.I. Vasilik, and V.V. Bovsunovskaya, visited Mälardalen University (Västerås, Sweden). The visit took place within the framework of the EU's Erasmus+ program (KA1).

The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Igor Sikorsky KPI and First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Kornienko, First Vice Rector of KPI Mykhailo Bezuglyi, and Assistant Rector of KPI Vitalii Pasichnyk took part in discussions on cooperation in the field of space technology with 🇪🇺 European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius.
