☑️ The Ukrainian team ranked among the top ten based on the results of the international Locked Shields 2026 cyber exercises, and Igor Sikorsky KPI confirmed its status as a leading university in training cybersecurity specialists.
Locked Shields 2026 is the world’s largest international cyber defense exercise, which took place from April 10 to 24 and attracted over four thousand participants from 41 countries.
📌 Kyiv Polytechnic Institute served as one of the venues for the exercises, where the national team’s operations were organized. The university acted as a co-organizer of the event and a platform for collaboration between government institutions and the academic community to strengthen Ukraine’s cyber capabilities.
This year, Ukraine participated as part of a joint team 🇺🇦 Ukraine — 🇷🇴 Romania — 🇲🇩 Republic of Moldova, fostering regional cooperation in countering cyber and hybrid threats.
For Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, this is a practical contribution to the training of specialists on whom the state’s cyber resilience depends today.
