New opportunities at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute! Representatives of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom visited our university to discuss the potential of Kyiv Polytechnic's participation in the Innovative Ukraine - Supporting Ukraine's Energy Recovery program funded by the UK government.

Our university can join the program as the first higher education institution in Ukraine that will train the much-needed humanitarian demining specialists (on the basis of the Institute of IEE).

“ I am fascinated by the fact that Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute plays a huge role in educating people and developing the knowledge base in many fields. So I am glad that my partners and I came here. We are ready to support all innovations, especially those related to energy sustainability, both financially and technically. We are also ready to be the ones who will combine your innovations with British innovations and business to create new solutions,” said Evelyn Cavalla, Energy Program Advisor, Ukraine Sustainability and Energy Security Program, British Embassy in Ukraine.

Only the first stage of negotiations with our British partners has taken place, and we have already managed to present our achievements, proposals and identify joint areas of work. The Innovate Ukraine program is implemented within the framework of the Innovate Ukraine Green Energy Challenge Fund, a British program to support innovative ideas of Ukrainian researchers. The first phase of the program, which is already underway, has allocated £10 million in grants for those who will support the sustainability, recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.
