A student of our university Yaroslav Nedashkivsky (09.06.2003 - 08.12.2024) died in the war.
In 2021, Yaroslav entered the Educational and Research Institute of Applied Systems Analysis (Department of Mathematical Methods of Systems Analysis) to study in the specialty “Systems Analysis”.
At the age of 18, he tried to volunteer, but was not accepted because of his age. On his 19th birthday, he joined the Carpathian Sich volunteer battalion.
In 2024, he was selected for the 3rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, mastered drone control, and received certificates from two UAV schools.
In his last battle in the Kharkiv region, near the village of Kopanky, Yaroslav and his comrades counterattacked an enemy subversive group that was trying to seize Ukrainian positions. He fought to the end.
