Igor Sikorsky KPI is increasingly established as a center of sociological education and research. In particular, the representatives of the student sociological community of the university successfully declare themselves in professional competitions and olympiads.
The final competition of the Ukrainian Volleyball Cup of 2018, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Volleyball Federation and the Ukrainian Volleyball Association, took place on the sports arena of the sunny resort Koblevo.
2018 was declared the Year of Cultural Heritage in Europe. It began under the slogan “Our heritage: where the past meets the future”. Its main goal is to attract more people to the discovering and recognition of Europe's cultural achievements.

On June 9, 2018 the Jury of the all-Ukrainian Festival of engineering talents «Future of Ukraine‘2018» announced the first winners of the contest that had been held under the Festival program.
In March the first university tour of All-Ukrainian Olympiad on theoretical mechanics was held at Igor Sikorsky KPI. The winners were three students of the second year of the mechanics and machine-building institute.
Traditionally, at the end of spring, the final round of the All-Ukrainian Mathematical Olympiad is held among technical and economic institutions of higher education of Ukraine. This year, it was held on the basis of Sumy State University for the fifth time.
This year, for the first time in Ukraine, The all-Ukrainian Scientific Works Competition for the students of "Biomedical engineering" specialty was held in Kyiv Polytechnic this year for the first time.
This spring brought a victory at All-Ukrainian contests and competitions at once to three students of the faculty of linguistics.
On May 16th, in the exhibition hall of the academic building №7 was the closure of the second part of the KPI Talents Contest 2018 where 45 participants presented about 180 works in the genie of photography and computer graphics.
