On September 23 this year an old friend of our University Mr. Janusz Fuksa was 80. Considering the outstanding scientific achievements and significant contribution to the cooperation of the Kyiv Technical Institute Students Section in Poland with NTUU"KPI", on September 1, 2014 the Academic Council of the University made Janusz Fuksa the "Honorary Doctor of" KPI".
At the end of July in the Bulgarian city of Blagoevgrad a traditional international competition among the best Mathematics students was held - IMC (International Mathematics Competition for UniversityStudents).
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) delegation of Germany met with representatives of "KPI" on 3 September. DAAD representatives were a director of the German Academic Exchange Gisela Zimmermann and her assistant Oksana Shvaika.

The history of the Scientific and Technical Library of NTUU "KPI" named after H.I.Denysenko began with the Kiev Polytechnic Institute formation in 1898.
In the late forties of the last century, the rocketry was intensively developing in the Soviet Union. The first domestically produced ballistic rocket P1 was launched on October 10, 1948 from the Kapustin Yar.
The world championship in kettlebell lifting was held in early July in Hungary. There were 19 teams, and over 300 participants took part in this tournament. Ukraine was represented by 30 athletes.
The final part of innovative ideas competition within the framework of «UKRAINE» project being financially supported by Framework program of European Union for research and innovations “Horizon 2020” was held in September, 17.
The managing director of famous venture company «ARCH Ventures Partners» Paul Tark visited NTUU “KPI” in September, 16.
