Kyiv Polytechnic is expanding its cooperation in the field of cybersecurity: a delegation from the international company Nihon Cyber Defence Co., Ltd. (NCD), led by CEO Kartan Joseph McLaughlin, visited the university. NCD’s headquarters are located in Tokyo.

🔹 The meeting was attended by university administration and representatives of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physics and Technology (ESIPT) at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

NCD is interested in collaborating with our university given its strong academic programs in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and IT in general, as well as the outstanding performance of student teams in international Capture the Flag competitions.

☑️ The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation:

• cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection
• support for projects aimed at restoring and rebuilding critical infrastructure
• countering information manipulation and external interference

📍Separately, they discussed:

• R&D projects with Japanese universities
• scholarship programs for Ukrainian students

The next step is to finalize the agreements and formats of cooperation.
