In early December, Igor Sikorsky KPI once again became a venue for professional scientific discussion. The XIV International Scientific and Technical Conference “Radio Engineering Problems, Signals, Devices, and Systems” (RTPSAS-2025) was held at the RTF, an event that has been an integral part of the faculty’s scientific life for many years.
Despite all the challenges of today, the conference brought together scientists, proving that engineering thought, research interest, and the desire for development do not stop.
RTPSAS-2025 confirmed its status as a truly international platform. Leading experts from Poland, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, and the Czech Republic, as well as representatives of Ukrainian and foreign universities and high-tech companies, joined the program committee and the work of the conference.
Associate Professor Ruslan Antypenko chaired the program committee, which brought together renowned scientists in the fields of radio engineering, telecommunications, electronics, and microwave technologies. It is thanks to this group of experts that the conference maintains high scientific standards and relevant topics.
The conference was divided into three thematic sections: “Radio Engineering Systems and Microwave Technology,” “Information Technology and Telecommunications Systems,” and “Electronics, Nanotechnology, Biomedical Systems, and Radio Measurement.” The reports covered a wide range of issues, from fundamental research to applied engineering solutions. Among the most discussed topics were radar detection of unmanned aerial vehicles, analysis of micro-Doppler effects, robust video data transmission systems in electronic warfare conditions, modern OFDM technologies, and software-defined radio (SDR).
Applied areas were not left out either: navigation systems, digital signal processing in industrial processes, biomedical laser technologies, and methods for improving measurement accuracy. Many reports had an obvious connection with the real needs of modern technology and security.
A special feature of RTPSAS-2025 was the active participation of young scientists – graduate students and students of KPI and other higher education institutions of Ukraine. For them, the conference was not only a platform for presenting their own research, but also an opportunity to receive professional feedback, join the scientific discussion, and feel part of the wider academic community. “Participation in the conference is a great opportunity to present your own work, receive professional feedback, and see what other researchers are working on. Such events motivate further development and scientific growth,” says first-year graduate student Oleksandr Bilous.
The XIV International Conference RTPSAS-2025 was yet another confirmation that Igor Sikorsky KPI remains the flagship of engineering and radio engineering education in Ukraine. Such events not only support scientific tradition, but also create an environment for future discoveries, international cooperation, and innovation. Therefore, RTPSAS is not just a conference. It is a space where ideas are born, generations of scientists meet, and the directions of radio engineering development are determined for years to come.
