This is already the IV international scientific and practical conference organised by the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering (‘FBMI’) of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. This time, it brought together scientists, medical and engineering professionals from Ukraine, Australia, the USA, Italy and the Netherlands to discuss the prospects for the development of rehabilitation technologies and share best practices in training qualified rehabilitation specialists.

Hanna Shymanska, a student of FIOT, received a scholarship in the academic year 2022/23. 

On 29 May 1914 (all dates are old style), the second prototype of the Ilya Muromets aircraft, piloted by its chief designer Igor Sikorsky, who recently turned 25 on 25 May, took off for the first time from the Korpusnyi Aerodrom of St. Petersburg. It was much lighter than its predecessor and had more powerful engines. 

Our university has also launched educational and awareness-raising events to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the women's movement in Ukraine, with a focus on technology and the scientific achievements of our compatriots.

On 18 October, Professor Yuri Mikhailovich Poplavko turned 90!  He was born in Saratov to a civil servant's family, but lost his father early in life, who died in 1939. So in the same year, Yurii and his mother were forced to move to relatives in Leningrad.

In 2023, a comprehensive monitoring of drinking water quality across Ukraine, was conducted at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, supported by WaterNet, the first All-Ukrainian professional public organization of specialists on water treatment.

In the future, joint actions of the parties will help reduce the shortage of qualified personnel at thermal power plants in the design, automation of processes, and maintenance of uninterrupted heat and power supply to various types of facilities in our country.

Students, teachers, and staff of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute - about eighty people in total - joined the 25th All-Ukrainian radio dictation, which traditionally took place in the KPI library on the eve of the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language.

Valentyn Anatoliyovych Svidersky was born on October 10, 1949. His childhood and youth passed in the village of Rokytne, Rivne region, where his grandfather and father worked at the local glass factory. So,from childhood he knew about the work of glass workers.

The university will have a comfortable integration environment for various groups and communities, where they can work on the psychological recovery of Ukrainians affected by the war, discuss sensitive topics related to mental health, learn to cope with trauma, and hold educational events.
