On September 17, 2012 NTUU "KPI was visited by His Highness Tuanku Said Faizuddyn Putra, Crown Prince of Perlis, Malaysia.

The aim of the visit was: acquaintance with NTUU "KPI", discussion of cooperation and signing cooperation agreement with the University of Malaysia Perlis state.

On September 11, NTUU "KPI" was visited by a delegation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board, led by its chairman, Viktor Khrystenko. After exploring history and the present of NTUU KPI Viktor Khrystenko delivered a lecture to University students and instructors on "Experience and perspectives of the Eurasian economic integration. Global context."

For many years, on the front page of the New Year issue of our newspaper next to the Rector's congratulation it is published the winter photo of the first building, made in a week or a month before the release.

October 13, the alley of prominent designers and scientists who have studied or worked in the KPI, was supplemented by three monuments.

An unforgettable encounter with the living legend of the Soviet space program was held at the NTUU"KPI" on May 13. The cosmonaut Georgy Grechko visited Kiev Polytechnic Institute. He participated in the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite, three times  flew into space.

The second president of Ukraine Leonid Danilovich Kuchma was awarded at ceremonial meeting of administrative council of NTUU "KPI" on November 25 on the occasion of assignment to it ranks "The honourable doctor of NTUU "KPI", the cloak and a breastplate is handed.

General Director of WIPO  Francis Gurry - Doctor of KPI. General Director of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Dr. Francis Gurry June 29 - July 1, 2010 visited Ukraine.
