On the occasion of the International Volunteer Day, students, teachers, staff and graduates of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute were making the necessary equipment for our soldiers all day long.
The work was in full swing for 24 hours (December 7-8, 2024)! All participants were divided into groups. Some of them continued the tradition of previous years: they made trench candles and elongated antennas for walkie-talkies, while others made spider antennas, which are very necessary at the front. These portable antennas have a high range, maintain high-quality communication and help save the lives of our defenders by keeping them in touch in safe places.
“This initiative is an example of how, by joining together, we can do very significant things for our soldiers in just a day. Today we have set another volunteer record. Every year we expand our capabilities and work on closing even such complex technological processes as spider antennas,” said Ihor Stepaniuk, chairman of the Trade Union of Students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
175 spider antennas and a lot of trench candles and elongated antennas for walkie-talkies in just 24 hours! This result was so unique for the third time that it was recorded in the National Register of Records, because it has never happened before in Ukraine!
Now the antennas and candles will be sent to our military to help bring our victory closer!
