The role of women and girls in the scientific and technological community of Kyiv polytechnicians is invaluable.

On January 12, the first meeting of the updated composition of the university working group on gender equality was held at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. New opportunities in international projects and grant activity in the gender sphere were thematized.

The prestigious Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2022 in the Volunteer Teachers category was awarded to Liudmyla Bulyhina, an engineer at the Educational and Research Institute of Physics and Technology of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, a Computer Science teacher at the Polytechnic Lyceum

In the previous issue of our newspaper, we wrote about the fact that among the 36 young Kyivans awarded the Kyiv Mayor's Award for special achievements of youth in the development of the capital of Ukraine this year, there also were several Kyiv polytechnicians.

Graduates of the Department of Publishing and Editing of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Olena Novitska and Anna Svyrydiuk, launched OLEAN publishing house in Ukraine, which deals exclusively with e-books.

Representatives of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute took part in the "Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022", which took place in Warsaw on June 7 and 8, and gathered more than 10,000 participants from 50 countries in both online and offline modes.

April 28 was the International Girls in ICT Day. The holiday is held annually on the last Thursday of April.

Every year on February 11, the world celebrates the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

‘For two years in a row, Associate Professor at the Department of General and Solid State Physics (GSSP) of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics Dariia Savchenko has been the winner of the University competition Young Teacher-Researcher.
