The university will have a comfortable integration environment for various groups and communities, where they can work on the psychological recovery of Ukrainians affected by the war, discuss sensitive topics related to mental health, learn to cope with trauma, and hold educational events. This extremely important social project was initiated by a team of experienced professionals:

📌 Faculty of Sociology and Law of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute;

📌 Training and Innovation Centre for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation of the IPO of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute;

📌 KOLO Charitable Foundation.

‘This is an integration platform, primarily educational, that will bring together representatives of different groups: students, teachers, volunteers, veterans. A place where you can hear their voices, talk about their needs and find opportunities to support them. It is also a space for gaining professional experience for future professionals who will work in the field of psychology and social work,’ says Maria Kotvitska, acting head of the People and Society department at the Kolo Charitable Foundation.

The first event within the framework of the Inclusive Lecture has already taken place, which was dedicated to psychological trauma, resource opportunities for overcoming it and ways to develop psychological resilience.

‘The Inclusive Lecture is only the first step towards informing and promoting inclusion and barrier-free environment at our university. We want to scale it to the widest possible range of students and academic staff who also need psychological support,' says Natalia Seminska, director of the Educational and Innovation Centre for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation of the IPO KPI.

In the future, the organisers plan to increase the number of open trainings and lectures, expand the range of participants, involve as many experts and government officials as possible to make the lives of Ukrainians inclusive and barrier-free.
