An evening of gratitude, strength, and music. The Igor Sikorsky KPI Center for Culture and Arts hosted a charity concert by Japanese virtuoso pianist Tempei Nakamura, a musician who is visiting Ukraine and our university for the third time during the war.
The performance was a manifestation of Japan's sincere support for Ukraine and proof of the power of intercultural unity. Tempei Nakamura performed his own interpretations of the famous Ukrainian compositions “Moonlit Night” and “Shchedryk,” and also dedicated the piece “A Soldier's Story” to Ukrainian defenders. The concert ended with the Ukrainian national anthem to the applause of the audience.
The event was organized with the support of the Ukrainian-Japanese Center at Igor Sikorsky KPI. All donations collected during the concert will be transferred to the Kyiv Polytechnic Charitable Foundation for the Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to help KPI students.
